Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Workmates. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you are using Workmates for a team, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that team.

The service

Workmates lets each person keep private, raw scribbles and connect them to "pods" (solo or group). A pod holds an objective and a recency-weighted memory that absorbs your scribbles over time, and it surfaces insights on a schedule or on demand. Features may change as we improve the product.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and let us know of any unauthorized use. Usage limits may apply to keep the service sustainable.

Acceptable use

Do not use Workmates to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious content, attempt to access data that is not yours, or disrupt the service. Do not resell or scrape the service without permission.

Your content

You own the content you put into Workmates. You grant us the limited license needed to host it, process it with AI, and display the appropriate parts (a pod's insights to its members, and its memory to the pod owner) to the members of your pods. We do not claim ownership of your content.

AI output

Insights and pod memory are generated by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong, and are not professional, legal, financial, or other expert advice. Use judgment before acting on them.

Availability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. During beta especially, features may change, pause, or be removed, and runs may occasionally be delayed.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

Termination

You can stop using Workmates and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access that violates these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Workmates is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
